Awesome place for camping. Words can not explain the beauty of this place. Our tent was right near the cliff with a beautiful view of lake Erie. Full hook up sites, Electrical and water hook up sites and RV sites available but away from the cliff. A quite place with lot of green foliage , clean rest rooms / shower area, hot water , fish cleaning area and a great park rangers make this place one of the best. Surprisingly there were no mosquitoes except for harmless fish flies / mayflies. The only way to access this park is through ferry.

We camp here once a year and we love it. Lots of shady spots and some have ruins from an old hotel on or near them. Very cool. Bathhouses are usually fairly clean.

We've been camping here for 4 years now. We do a guys' weekend every summer at this site simply because of how well it is run and how inexpensive it is compared to the rest of the accommodations on the island. We found new sites that we are in love with, and set next year's trip already.

Based on my experience last week, this campground is no place that I would want to take my family again, period. There were at least 3 parties around us with multiple drunk and disorderly people, swearing loudly and yelling late into the night. Our only saving grace was the noise of our air conditioner, thank goodness we were not tent camping. Seriously, this place needs to be a campground that does not tolerate the open carry of alcohol. I would not trust young kids being anywhere near the campground roads with fast golf carts and mopeds driving around (with the potential of drunk drivers). What a beautiful park though, it is a shame the State lets this happen here when it is not tolerated at other campgrounds in Ohio.
