Dogs at Camp

A bit of a drive for me but worth it :) I went away on holiday for 2.5 weeks and had my dog stay at Dog’s at Camp. It wasn’t cheap as it was a long stay but I had ZERO stress knowing that my dog was well taken cared for and that would be having a ton of fun every single day! He is a really big dog that needs to run, be active and needs to continue to learn how to socialize with other dogs. He also required daily medication and vigilant watching as he has food allergies but will eat anything in site...even plastic bags :( My dog can sometimes be a brat and can guard toys, sticks. The place doesn’t have toys or sticks just lying around for dogs to fight over them. I felt so safe leaving my dog in their care. Very friendly staff and well trained in caring for all sorts of dog temperaments and sizes. So lucky to have you to help me! Thank you so much!

Cannot say enough great things about Dogs At Camp. Our Aussie goes a couple times a year and always seems happy to arrive. Service from staff is truly exceptional. Highly recommended!

We've left our anxious rescue dog here a number of times now and are always more than happy. She comes back in great shape and exhausted. The camp counselors are really experts with the dogs, and every detail is thought out here. It's especially great to see our dog bond with new people--not something she does easily!

absolutely disappointed and very upset! For the first time ever I had no choice but to take my dog to a kennel, I did a ton of research and found Dogs At Camp, it had stunning reviews. I was still very skeptical. We went out to the meet and greet. Everything was great. I left my best friend in their hands. He was there for 11 days. I checked in with them often and every time they would respond with "he's eating well, getting on with the other dogs and is having a great time". So I put my mind at ease while I was away. My mother in law picked up Riley a day earlier, so that he would be at home for us when we got back. She had txt us saying Riley is at home and safe, but that they had told her that he may have caught KENNEL COUGH but that he was fine and not to worry. We were also charged a full day even though we picked him up a day earlier and gave them more than enough notice. Riley was NOWHERE near FINE! he was extremely ill and had lost a ton of weight, he did not even look like our dog anymore. He in fact came home with almost all of the food that I sent with him to camp, I was heartbroken. That very next morning I called dogs at camp and was asking what had gone on, they replied he was fine and only started feeling ill the day he was picked up, I got nowhere with them. I took him straight to our vet. It took us 4 visits to the vets, 2 changes in medication where my dog was on 4 different types of medication and well over TWO WEEKS for him to start being himself again. He did not have kennel cough he ended up having PNEUMONIA. My vet was appalled and said that we were lucky we got him home a day earlier and that he should have had medical attention well before he did. I spoke to dogs at camp one last time, my vet bills were up to $1500 and I was so upset, I honestly thought I was going to lose my best friend. When I spoke to them they were very aggressive towards me and were not sympathetic at all, and this was the owner that I speaking with. I confronted her about the amount of dog food that he had come home with Riley and asked her if he was eating while he was there, I said "you guys told me he was happy, and healthy and eating". Her response "we can't make a dog eat" in which I replied than you should have told me and I would have arranged for my dog to be picked up. I do not trust them and I will never ever place my dog in their care again and I do not recommend this place to anyone, I do not care how many raving reviews you have this was a horrible, emotional draining experience for us and so not worth the money. We also paid extra to have the photography package to which we still have no received. If you love your pet do not place them in their care! Regret, Jeanette
