I'm reviewing the flight school here. I've done my ppl and cpl in southern MB. I came to Sudbury Aviation to finish off my float rating (that I had started with my previous employer) and get the 10hrs bush course as well as some solo time on floats. All I can say is that I enjoyed this place so much more than my previous flight school. The staff was really cool and all of them were experienced pilots (unlike at my previous flight school where I met a bunch of instructor who had only 250hrs and no other flight experience than their training in MB). The rates are also very affordable for a float plane. And last but not least they actually let you go solo. Unlike some places that do not let their students go solo until they have 30+ or 50+ hours on floats with them (I've seen that quite frequently when I was researching for schools in BC) . I was allowed to go for real solo as soon as my inductor signed me out solo.

Have used Sudbury Aviation for the last 15 years for our annual fly in fishing trip , best camps in the province , great cabins and equipment , been fly in fishing trips for over 25 years wish we would have used Sudbury sooner Marg and her staff are great to deal with and very friendly . Most outfitters in the province tell you they will check in with you mid week but they don't , not so with Sudbury Aviation they fly in mid week and actually land and make sure all is ok and when they tell you you will be picked up at 9 am on fly out day you must be ready there always on time , can't say enough about Marg and her team great people to deal with.
