Really cool. But...this is real spelunking. Can't really walk into any of the caves. Headlamps are a must and I would recommend long pants at the minimum. A helmet wouldn't hurt either. Where the caves are can be dangerous so walk carefully. Deep holes everywhere. All that aside the caves were super cool to explore. It was during a drought when I was there so the water level in the river was pretty low at the swimming area, but swimming in a river is unique and we saw some great wildlife.

Great for kids! The caves are deep and dark, and there is an element of slight danger, but easily managed. Bring headlamps. We were a group of 6 adults and a bunch of kids, lots of fun for everyone. Hiking, beach, kettles, caves. Campsites are clean and spacious, with good coverage between sites. Swimming at the beach is wonderful for little ones: water is shallow and sandy. Fishing is good at the dock, and down by the river.

The park is very well taken care of and situated in Warsaw Town north of Peterborough, there are lots to see and do such as hiking the nature trails, enjoying bird watching, going to the beach and my favorite, exploring the underground network of caves! If you were lucky enough to have come here on a school trip you were in for a special treat with personal guided tour and a lit to learn about how the Caves were formed. ...Anyways, you must bring your kids here and partake on this incredible journey of fun, excitement and knowledge, or you can just come to go for a walk on the many hiking trails that will keep you marveled with the fresh air,the sound water makes when it goes under the cave network or just take your family for a nice refreshing splash in the beach!

Our family loves this local gem. We purchase an annual pass that allows us to access the hiking and river any time. Parking lot was recently extended. Some trails could be better marked. Watch out for poison ivy!

Great camping site, maintained. The staff is very nice and helpful. Would not recommend it if you are coming here just for swimming, the river is very shallow. The beach is ok. Would highly recommend brining a few good mosquito sprays, if you are not ready to be eaten alive. Why not 5🌟: the washrooms and showers throughout the conservation area are not being cleaned AT ALL. This was the only con during our trip.
