I’ve been coming to the day-use part of this park for more than forty years. It feels like home to me. There are hiking paths, lots of forest, farmed fields, and large open spaces, and, of course, Bronte Creek, where you can watch salmon swimming upstream in the fall. There’s family stuff to do here, like the children’s barn, plus seasonal events, including the maple syrup festival in March, ghost walks in August, British car day in September, and Victorian Christmas in December. Lots of wildlife can be spotted: deer, coyote, wild salmon, bats, raccoons, skunks, fox squirrels, and just a dazzling assortment of songbirds in spring and summer (I’ve seen bluebirds, Baltimore orioles, blue jays, two types of woodpeckers, owls, grosbeaks, thrushes, nuthatches, cardinals, and even bobolinks). I can’t imagine not having this beautiful space.

We've visit a lot of parks and conservation area. Bronte creek just made it to the bottom of my list. It may be good for picnics but not for hiking. The trails are not clearly marked, no blazes to be seen and the trails are all flat and gravel surface. Not exactly "being close to nature". The cost was the most expensive one I've encountered so far, unless you pack your car with 5 - 10 people, it's not worth getting in. Surprising that this park has 'provincial' status. Responding to your comment on my review here: the tone of your comment is exactly the experience we've had on your trails. I DID pay the $18 to get in and parked legally. Would you like me to send you the receipt as proof? I DID get the booklet with the map that was in the insufficient for directions. The trails are NOT clearly marked to match the map. Why don't you take a hike in a conservation area where you will pay only $13 dollars per car and educate yourself on what blazes look like. I find your accusations disgusting from a customer point of view. You are obviously incable of taking feedback unless it's all positive. Further I would be reporting my review of the AND your response directly to Ontario Parks and Parks Canada. Hopefully they will provide you with some much needed training.

I can’t understand why people would rate this so high. I took my son there today to see the animals and explore. Extremely limited, several exhibits were closed. I can’t understand how they can get away with charging nearly $20. Absolute robbery. You’re better of going to Mountsburg. If you want to hike or bike almost ever other park offers better hiking and biking trails. The only thing this place has going for it is it’s in a convenient location. Just a note after reading other posts, as an avid mountain biker and hiker, there are no advanced (black diamond) trails, there are more advanced trails north of Dundas. To the “owner” Stop relying on your default response when someone doesn’t rave about their experience. (Again we find that those who are disappointed with their experience did not do their research prior to visiting). It seems that everyone who left a poor rating didn’t do their research... Heaven forbid people didn’t think the park was all that great. Instead of wasting your resources replying to reviews, you could use those resources to have your exhibits open when people visit the park.

This was our first time camping, and it was the best experience of my life! We went a family of 6, with grandparents and kids. Clean washrooms, awesome, polite staff. I will definitely be coming back!

Nice place and nice scenery! Didn't expect to pay. But its $17 per car! Beautiful mountain bike trails and hiking trails! Some are intermediate and some are advanced! The place is a beauty and it has a nice farm to visit that shows the life of old farmers. Great for kids.
