A stalwart of the western New York summertime for kids who would otherwise not have the opportunity to participate in in camping or beach activities.

Second year for my kids and they loved it more than the last!!

I'm a 29yo woman now. When I was a young child I went to CBC every summer. It was honestly the BEST time of my life. There wasn't even a hint of racism or misogyny. I was always treated with kindness and respect from everybody. I made some of the best friends I've ever made in my life. We loved and cared for each other, we laughed together, had fun together and when it was time to leave, we cried together. The experiences I've had at this camp are unforgettable and every child should be able to experience what it feels like to be surrounded in an environment where they are treated like a person, not a black person or white person or female or male, just a person who deserves kindness, open mindedness and respect. I will ALWAYS love and support this camp for the experiences it allowed me that I didn't get from anywhere else. When I attended it was 'back in the day' so to speak lol. So IDK how it is now or if it has changed for the better. I can only hope so. And I hope parents give this place a chance for their children; it may provide experiences that they don't find any place else and truly make an impact on their young minds and lives.

Great place with great people, doing wonderful things for families!!

Until you step back and appreciate what experience the volunteers, the staff, the trained educators are offering to your child, you won't get it. This is NOT a "CHEAP Camp to dump your kids... This camp offers a SAFE Place to be different.....A chance To express yourself as a child trying to grow up.....A welcomed smile when things feel gloomy......A place you can feel like you are an intricate part of a group and the kids make "NEW" friends and learn to parallel play outside their circle of friends- join in and be appreciated for what ever conversation they bring to the new group. There are kids who ACT OUT and don't feel like they fit at this camp- (I feel bad for them)- How will they ever embrace the differences life brings them when they grow up. Acting out can be a sign of not getting everything we want at that moment-"different is good"- accepting new experiences and looking for the positive things we learn from those experiences is a sign of maturity.
