Will probably be fine for your kid if they don't have a special diet and/or won't be homesick. Lovely setting. It's the management that gets one star. Our daughter didn't make it through the week last year, and maybe she wouldn't have at any camp, but I think she would have had a better chance elsewhere. They didn't have an activity to keep them busy at arrival (besides making a name tag for their bunk), and five counselors stood talking to each other on the cabin porch while she sat inside crying for a good 30 minutes. The counselors are kids, too, so can't blame them; I know they tried later in the week. Would have been nice if the camp had an ice-breaker set up to distract the kids right when they got there, though. They also didn't have any vegetarian option for at least one dinner; she ate bread and butter. The website promises vegetarian options, and it's specified on the intake form. When she asked for a vegetarian option, the kitchen said "We don't have one, so ... I don't know what you're going to do." Even this didn't bother me that much -- mistakes happen. I mentioned it to the camp director in an email about something else to make sure they had others covered (at least one of her friends still at camp also didn't eat meat). I figured he would say "That's unacceptable; I'll talk to the kitchen and make sure that doesn't happen again." and I would have been happy. Instead, he wrote "We want all campers to feel included, and we will continue to work with the kitchen to provide a variety of options." That non-response did bug me a little. I wrote back, and higher camp management responded and called me, too, which initially seemed impressive. We had a polite conversation where she never acknowledged that they screwed up (and strongly implied that my daughter was lying), and offered several "sorry if you were disappointed" non-apologies. I got off the phone with the weird feeling she had called to "handle" me, not fix a problem. Screw-ups happen; it's how you respond to them that matters. My daughter's friends loved this camp, but I bet they'd love any camp. If your kid is low-maintenance and self-sufficient, go for it. But given a choice, I'd always go for a camp that doesn't practice the CYA model of management.

What fun! Was here for a wedding reception. All the activities were open I did the zip line with the help of camp workers Chris and Mike. They were awesome? We watch as the kids did great he high ropes. Wow what patience these two guys have! I absolutely love this place!

This Camp is so amazing, I remember spending a lot of time here when I was a Child. So many memories. So many activities to participate in. If you are looking for a fun filled camp, look no further.

The best summer camp around. The camp creates memories and builds relationships like none other. Truly a second home.
