We love our summer's at Thompson's. My son can run and have fun, there are always friends around.

We spent the weekend there with our camper. While the site was very nice and the staff/owners are very welcoming, I'm giving it 2 stars because 1) the outhouses were not clean and were always out of toilet paper and 2) the dump station didn't have a working hose to rince out the black water tank or drain hose. No water come out. I called and they said the well was dry. :( At $55 a night i expect better facilities. We wouldn't return.

The most fantastic experience at the Park... spent 5 days at one of their amazing rental cottages... was very sad to leave... beautiful lake... store is very affordable... enjoyed a corn roast... halloween in September... i felt very safe walking at night... the owners were beyond accomodating and kind.... everyone I came across was extremely friendly... i got home today and am in the process of booking cottage again... and buying a trailor for next season...

Owner is extremelly welcoming. Park is 90% seasonals. Very laid back, good for family with kids, not recommended if you want to party. It's pretty quiet campfires + the usual drinking/talking but mostly quiet. The seasonals are friendly. Very fair price free boat launch and dock if u are a paid campsite. The only reason I gave it a three is that the weekend campsites don't really have a view of the lake and it's not full sewer. Although they do have a free dump station on your way out which i can do with.

I have been camping here since i was just a baby and now i take my own kids. Whether its a family getaway or a weekend away with friends, clayton lake always delivers ! The owners are like family and the seasonals are always extremely friendly. The beach is a great place for kids and they have a park.. The boat launch is nice and efficient and the fishing is always great !! Ive caught my personal best bass on this lake at a whopping 5pnds !!! I could never reccomend this place enough !!
