I would not come back to Kittawa for one reason: Joel - the owner - was unfailingly rude to me and my guests. In less than 24 hours, I had three interactions with him. During all of them, he was condescending and inflexible. The contrast of his approach against those of his kind and accommodating staff could not be greater. I live nearby in Ottawa and would have liked to make this spot a regular home-base on my summer bike adventures. I would rather ride further or pay more to be treated with common courtesy than to give more money to this business.

I don't like to put negative reviews in but this restaurant really frustrates me. Tonight I had my best meal there which was cheeseburger with grilled vegs and coleslaw. A small milk to drink. Well, seeing as I am going to start a non cake diet in a couple days, I really wanted cake tonight and they make good cake. I asked when I first sat down, do you have any dessert, she didn't know. I asked when she took my order, she didn't know. When she brought my order I asked again, oh she forgot to ask the cook. When she was hurrying by, I asked but she forgot. I was saving the last of my milk for my cake but finally had to go back to work. At the cash, she finally remembered my cake. As I was paying for my meal she brought out the most delicious looking chocolate banana cake with extra yummy icing. It was too late, I was leaving. She apologized for forgetting but used the excuse another waitress didn't come in. So now that's my problem. She is a lovely lady, a little older lady, and maybe this job is too much for her. Her family helps her, ex. a daughter is a waitress. They own the restaurant. I hate complaining all the time but service is service and this is not the first time I have been frustrated at this restaurant but the food is good. Oh, also I overheard her telling another customer they were all out of chicken. Her daughter is the cook and I assume she orders what supplies are needed. Family!!

Owner is rude and a control freak! They have used my lot to cut trees on more than a 100 trees and in April when they opened up did not remove the cut trees and did not clean the wood chip residue piles of it so when I came in to open my trailer in June the owner refused to clean the wood and handed a paper bag and said it’s your responsibility to clean it ! I refused and told him it’s his responsibility not mine his response was I am too busy can’t do it for another few weeks! Came back in July still not done! Took the kids and left! Did not get to enjoy my trailer ! So i came back in early September and removed my trailer! Left my golf cart and cement blocks and wood with two wood steps for my trailer and my golf cart charger in the shed! Today September 25,2018 came back to take my wood steps and golf cart and charger found my lot completely cleaned! The owner has stolen my wood steps my golf cart charger and my cement blocks! My fire wood! But left me my golf cart ! And moved the picnic tables and placed them in the middle of the lot! My opinion ! The owner is a thief! And I had not been able to use my camper not even once the entire summer season!!!!!!!
