This camp was one of the best times of my life. Everyone was very friendly and nice, the food was great, the activities were very fun and it was a blast. I would definitely go back there very soon! It was a wonderful experience!

A group (5) of friends and myself stumbled upon the camp two years ago at Thanksgiving. At that time, it was vacant with no people nor children or doors or gates shut. We ventured and saw a beautiful camp grounds where we thought would be a lovely place for our children. This year, 2015, we went back up with a different group of friends (6), wanting to show them the same sites we experienced. When we got there, there were children and monitors and upon meeting a counselor from the camp, she kindly informed us that it was a private weekend for the children. My partner calmly told her we had been there the year before and she apologized and we left. While walking away, I'd say we got 50 feet away from the initial gate we walked out of, this male counselor, named B.Charette, approaches us and says "Do you need help?" we says no we were leaving and he states that apparently the girl, whom we talked to said my partner gave attitude. My partner, wanting to know how she thought that asked the man to escort him back to her so he could figure out the misunderstanding. When we got to the girl she said it wasn't my partner so I asked her, in french, who it was so that person could apologize to her. The male counselor turns to me and says if I spoke french I should have the whole time. I am a complete Anglophone who learned the french language to have opportunities. The male counselor was raising his tone and being aggressive. He told me rudely to leave where I explained that if that's how he handles himself in a simple discussion, by becoming irritated and annoyed easily, I'm afraid how he is when non supervised with children. I called the owner/ director and tried explaining this to her but before I could even finish she chose to say we were rude and belligerent and would be siding with them because he is an awarded counselor... She didn't even listen to the fact that the young female counselor said it WASN'T my partner and that the male counselor was SHOUTING in my face... Those aren't ways to handle situations.... Furthermore she mentioned it was Private Property, although there is NO SIGN... Granted that we now know it is we won't "TRESPASS" but it would be effective that for future people they put up a CLEAR sign... As other land owners do through out that stretch of road... Also that they securely close their gates because I'm convinced we aren't the only ones to have fumbled upon their place. Again, we fully understand the notion of private but we weren't aware until this year. It's a shame because the place is beautiful, old school type feel but with one male counselor like that, I wouldn't trust leaving them with him or the owner if that's how rude and discriminatory they are.
