Overall, the campgrounds are kept up very well and the staff is very friendly. There are plenty of little spots to stop and shop; local fish to eat, and hiking trails to enjoy. My one complaint is that there is only one lane to get into the campground, see the lower falls, buy a Michigan pass, etc. During the summer months, plan on waiting in line for a good while even if you have already paid to get into a site. There should be a better way to move people through more efficiently.

Facilities were well kept and the staff was friendly. The view from my site was amazing, I was right on the water. However this campground was too crowded for my liking.

We stayed memorial weekend at the River mouth campground. It was a great 3 days. Perfect to do a day trip up to the falls for a hike and sightseeing.

Most beautiful place on earth. Worth the trip. Clean and extremely well run.

This was my families "go to" camp ground while we lived at Kincheloe AFB from 1970 -75. I remember picking oodles of wild blueberries with my sibs, George, Monica and Phillip, seeing bears, rough housing in my Dads cool old canoe, which he still owns, I remember going up the highway to a dump, where we'd watch bears foraging for snacks, and I remember Kevin, Karen and Shelly Parker, our friends that we hung out with there. Once we had a talent show... Karen was super cute when she sang "funny face" , Phillip may have acted out the song "The Preacher and the Bear". Good memories of that beautiful place. I'd love to drive back there to camp, but it's a long drive from Idaho.
