Campground is nice a little closely packed but it's clean people are friendly. Only 1 draw back was the $8. charge for booking ahead I am not sure if this is common practice however it seems to me a gouging practice when people want to make sure there will be a site waiting after you drive over an hour paid gas and where and tear on your equipment as well as time. Gas is not cheap. We will not be back because of this unfair practice. If I had realised it before hand I would have gone elsewhere.

Stayed at Herons cottage. Clean and comfy.

Great park for families, the beach is shallow and kid friendly. Events for campers held often based on what I read on the bulletin board, such as movie nights, live music, and programs for kids. Fishing in Golden Lake is awesome, caught perch, bass, and pike on our visit. Prices were all very competitive.

We have been staying at the campground for 10 years. They changed ownership in 2018 and is no longer a good place stay. Owners are not very friendly or reasonable. Not only has the cottage been neglected, Smells musty and leaks. They now only booking weekly and would not make an exception for long time customers. Sad to see it go.
