Gold Mine Camp is one of my favorite Wilderness Adventure sites. Awesome Fishing and the Black Bear are plentiful. I'm 2 for 2 on great Black Bears and the 35" Northern Pike caught and released our last day was the icing on the cake. This place is in a serious wilderness area and provides a very comfortable base camp. No frills, just the creature comforts such as electricity, running water and comfortable roomy cabins and soft beds. Their boats are well maintained and always in great working order and their fish cleaning station was a bonus. I'll definitely be back. Jerry & Leif are great.

My girlfriend and I had a blast staying at Gold Mine Camp. The place is beautiful and remote and the fishing is fantastic. The cabins are older but very clean and everything worked. Cabins have stove, fridge and freezer as well as plates pan and silverware. The resort is 8 miles down a dirt road so bring everything you need. They do have ice, worms and leeches and charcoal. Jerry is awesome! he will show you around and show you how to run the boat. When he gives you a fishing spot, listen because my girlfriend caught a 28 inch northern pike and I caught a 36 inch pike. The flies are bad so buy a bug suit of Amazon. Great place and very affordable.

I have been coming to Gold Mine Resort for over 50 years. My first memories of the camp was a road that was almost impossible to drive on with cabins that were very basic with outdoor bathrooms and a common shower area. What was then and is now is GREAT FISHING! The current owners have greatly improved The road and the cabins. While still basic the cabins have a bathroom with showers and complete kitchen. Our family now includes 4th generation fishers who although in their teens are talking of bringing their kids. A great place to come - disconnect with technology and enjoy a week of GREAT FISHING. (We limited out 3 days on fishing)

If your expectations are set low, you won't be dissapointed. The staff was friendly and attentive. The cabin we stayed in was definitely in need of some updates. The bed was extremely uncomfortable but beats staying in a tent. The fishing was terrible for us. This place is definitely a place for a bunch of guys who just want to go fishing and have somewhere to sleep and eat at the end of the day. Not really a great place for a couple. It's accommodating for dogs which is a plus. Not sure we would stay here again. But for a guys week/weekend of fishing/hunting it would be a good cheap place to rent.
