Sibbald Point is a very large park. There were many parking areas, picnic areas, basketball nets, volleyball nets, covered picnic buildings and camp sites. Of course Sibbald is known for its famous beach. Well kept and perfect for the eager summer visitor. This park can get extremely busy, especially during long weekends so expect waits at the washrooms, for picnic tables, and even for space on the beach. We camped for a week and found the park was much calmer on the week days. The weekend however was overwhelming. The wait for the beach public washroom was 25 minutes. There is a lovely and well stocked general store on site that sells everything from firewood and ice to chocolate bars and colouring books. I would advise people use the lesser known washrooms around the park. They are cleaner and less busy. Also, make sure to book months in advance to ensure access to the camping sites. There aren't often open sites as it is a very popular park with close proximity to Toronto.

Honestly one of our favourite provincial parks. It’s close to the city and is always a safe bet to unwind from stress. The campsites we’ve ever stayed at were fairly private and maintained. The beach is nice, and as it’s Lake Simcoe the water is a pleasant temperature. Comfort stations are always well maintained and I’ve witnessed them cleaned daily. There’s also a well stocked convenience store right outside the main gates.

There are two beaches, a sand beach and a stone beach. Both beaches are very lovely, kept clean by park staff, but on the stone beach there are a lot of itty-bitty little lobsters that get washed up on the shore. The trails are absolutely gorgeous, if mosquito-infested, so I do advise going for a walk along there, just bring a lot of bug spray and you'll be set. There are also open areas perfect for setting up a barbecue and drying up some hamburgers or hot dogs or what have you. All in all, beautiful place. Parking fees are a bit steep though, so most people park on a street-side next to a side entrance to the park.

A perfect park for beach loving small children! This was my first experience with a Provincial Park since my early 20s, and I was pleasantly surprised at how excellent the whole thing was. Sibbald Point is a little piece of Canadian paradise an hour away from Downtown Toronto (no seriously, we went from parking space to pitching our tent in about 1hr15mins). Everything about the process and park was great. Here are the important take-aways: easy online reservation, large clean comfortable sites, very clean modern facilities, great beach, awesome activities, a perfect place for a weekend with small children.

Not impressed. Upon arrival, we had to wait in an hour+ lineup just to register our prepaid campsite. They were even passing out papers to fill out the names of who would be on each site and the plate number so I am unsure why there was such a hold up. When we final got registered and made it to our site, we found pieces of broken glass (which we almost drove over) and a fire pit full of leaves, looking like it hadn’t been cleaned in quite sometime. And it didn’t get any better- the comfort station was by far the filthiest one I have ever been to and to top it off, when I returned in the morning, it was in the same condition and had not been cleaned at all since the previous day. There were sites with cars lined up on the road all day and no one patrolling to tell them to move them. We go camping several times each year to provincial parks and this was the worst I have been to. There needs to be some serious retraining at this park! We will not be returning!
