Amazing campground/resort. I almost didn't want to write a review and keep this awesome place to ourselves. The owners and their staff are very friendly and outgoing, always ready to lend an ear and see how they can make our stay even better. The campground is right on the lake (but call ahead to reserve the beachfront sites). We just got back from our fourth trip to Gunflint Pines and had our best weather yet, although the flies were a little challenging while on the lake (typical for mid-summer...wear long-sleeves and pants). We took our parents with us this time and they ended up renting an A-frame cabin while we had the camper docked at one of the beachfront sites. It was our first time seeing the inside of their cabins and it was beautiful, inside and out. Simple and functional, the cabin was well appointed with everything my inlaws needed re food prep and comfort. The balcony overlooking the lake was perfect for their morning coffee. The pontoon was out of commission while it was having an impeller replaced, but we've had a great time renting it as well on previous visits. Thanks again for another great visit! See you for Labor Day!

The previous review posted was meant for Gunflint Lodge down the road. We had not yet stayed at Gunflint Pines at this point but we had made reservations for May. A positve, accurate review will be posted shortly. My deepest apologies to Gunflint Pines for my error. Our stay on Memorial Day for three nights was absolutely delightful. Sherry was most accommodating along with the rest of their staff. The views are beautiful. The call of the loons were so soothing. We did not want to leave. Thank you so much for having us. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.!

We didn't stay here but washed up in a storm after canoeing the lake. The hospitality of every staff member we spoke to was amazing. Everyone was so helpful, letting us dry off, giving us coffee and helping us back to our accommodation. I really want to return and stay here, they are all such warm friendly folk!!

We got there Friday before memorial. With most of the guests arriving Saturday. Even as the camp filled up the privacy remained. I am amazed by what it takes to keep this place what it is. They did a great job of taking care of the camp ground while not pestering the campers. Layout is good. Thanks for having us and would like to come back soon.
