High intensity interval training group exercise class. Excellent trainers and great atmosphere. Shower and changing facilities available. Fuel Bar prepares a variety of protein shakes for post-class recovery. Extremely efficient and engaging workout.

Best work out in London. You leave feeling really excellent from all the endorphins. The trainers are nice and do not have a military style as might be expected. The shakes are also very tasty

I am serious fitness enthusiast and have tried several high intensity/weight training classes accross London. I found the class I did at Barry's a real let down. The facilities are nice and modern, but that it where it ends. I got an "induction" which consisted of a trainer showing me how to turn on the treadmill. After that, the next hour consisted of the trainer shouting over music incoherently, swearing and belittling people, and checking his Facebook. At one point my treadmill was not working and he told me to get back on it, which could have caused injury. Also, the music was so manic, the trainer kept changing the track every couple seconds - it was not conducive to working out, and every other word out of the instructors mouth was f***. He also made a couple comments that I would seriously question in today's #metoo culture. The transitions between workouts were quick and there was not a lot of explanation of the moves, which again could lead to serious injury for someone not used to that type of workout. The trainer then ridiculed someone for not listening, even though it was impossible to hear what he was saying over the music. I think you can have a bootcamp style workout without the trainer swearing at you. There are a lot of other places in London doing this much better, with more positivity.

The best workout in the world? Allegedly... It's always a delight working out at Barry's - the community is amazing. Inspiring trainers, lovely staff and a good workout - the combination works wonders :)

I don't know what all the fuss is about - the hardest workout in the world, really? Personally, I've sweated more and felt like I was working harder in bog-standard, no-frills spinning classes or when doing interval running training. Be warned that the instructions are minimal, and no one is checking your form when doing the exercises. The warm-up also seemed wildly insufficient. The instructor seemed kind of bored and rattled through the instructions. The induction for newbies was minimal - basically just two minutes on how the treadmill works. I guess this is geared towards City workers who want to cram as much high intensity exercise as they can into one hour. Not for me, I'm afraid. Overpriced, too, given the lack of instructions/advice throughout the session. On the upside, the shakes are delicious.
