We stayed here for dofe and it was really nice and big with a really nice, clean shower block.

We didn't stay but popped in for an ice-cream when passing as we live just off the estate. Attendant in shop friendly, camp site seemed to have a nice vibe. Good to see a new local business doing well and bringing people to a wonderful part of the British countryside.

Diabolical. Not what was advertised. No food on site as was promised. No manager on site when there was supposed to be. Shop not open when it was supposed to be. No answer on phone number supplied. Gate not opened to access site in the small window that it was meant to be. A lovely site, but no consideration for campers at all. Avoid at all costs.

Poor experience. No one on site to let us in and no clear instruction on phoning management so had to jump over gate to get access. Short leaflet left in tent with little information. No one on site except flying visit at 6pm (told us 5pm after several phone calls). And then only there to set up for the weekend (we attended on a Thursday). So we had 2 hours of waiting to speak to someone. Justified absence by saying that as there were only 2 visitors they were sent to training day at other site instead. So no shop or pizza provided as suggested on website so had to go off site after 6pm when this became apparent. Therefore spent first 3 hours trying to get in by foot with our kit and then accessing food. Placed between bins and exit in one corner and burning vegetation in other corner (senior management unaware and denied being on their site when mentioned to them later despite local manager seeing it the next day). Unsafe as we had a small child with us who nearly walked into it to investigate in the morning. There were 15 other pitches in better location which could have been offered but were set up for weekend. No apology and instead made to feel as of it was our fault ( apparently we told them we were arriving at 5 which is untrue. Also no email sent beforehand with directions). Even if we did, still no one present at 5 to let us in. Spoke to National Trust who clearly stated they have had multiple complaints and meetings set up with Embers to discuss issues have not worked due to Embers not engaging. We have had very poor engagement by senior management when giving feedback. Actually stating it was ok to send staff elsewhere for training and suggesting we got location of fire wrong rather than having genuine concern for customer safety. Please do not fall for website promises or believing that because this is on National Trust property it will be of a certain standard.

Very clean and organised! We were amazed by how well the site drained after a lot of rain. Cars could easily be driven on the field even after 12 hours of continuous deluge!
