I completed the 6 week boot camp program this summer and I've been debating writing this review for a while. The facilities are clean and the equipment is in tip top shape. Over the six weeks, I completed all the workouts and did see results. I enjoyed the exercises and the staff and gym members were friendly. However, I didn't enjoy the way that membership was pushed on boot campers. The way the gym advertises itself suggests that participants would receive physical and nutritional support from trainers, which I didn't really receive. While everyone was friendly, there are so many women in the gym at one time that it is impossible for one instructor to monitor each participant to ensure that they are completing each exercise properly. It felt like the sole purpose of this gym is to process as many women as possible and hopefully get them to sign up. Leading up to the boot camp I continued to receive emails regarding sign-up even though I had already signed up and the email blasts throughout the program include canned information that I didn't find helpful or relevant to my experience. My biggest issue with the gym is the diet they ask participants to partake in. Luckily as someone who lives with IBS I know what works and doesn't work for my body, but I tried to follow the recommended diet. I was not consuming close to enough calories to function and felt ill after the first 5 days, reverting to a diet that worked for me. I decided to write this review because other women could be looking for an environment that is supportive and conducive to them making a life change. Especially in instances where someone doesn't have the knowledge on how to exercise and eat, I would want them to be aware of what they may expect. I have since joined a cross fit gym where I receive coaching and one on one guidance, in addition to nutritional information that is suitable for my body and needs. The experience here wasn't bad, but it wasn't what I was looking for on my fitness journey.

I only started at go girl 4 short weeks ago and in that time have had some of the best workouts of my life. They're fun, they're hard and they kick your ass. But it's the most enjoyable part of my mornings, and I'm the kind of person that used to not like being awake before noon!! In the past 4 weeks of my prescribed diet style change from my doctor accompanied by my workouts at go girl I have lost 20lbs! The coaches are all amazing and very helpful and the other go girls are even more amazing and always willing to help and cheer you on. It's a very enjoyable and welcoming atmosphere.

All around excellence!! Truly a one of a kind gym. Together with Dan, the awesome Trainers & Admin and our members at Go Girl, your results are guaranteed. There is no other place with this environment and vibe. This is the most amazing, supportive, empowering and strong group of women that I have ever encountered. I am blessed and honoured to be a member. Go Girl has changed my life and keeps me not only FIT but also sane!!!

Every class is different which is great. They challenge you by switching up the circuits every few weeks. Lina is a great trainer and really reaches out to everyone and encourages us. Quite expensive but the price gives access to unlimited classes. During the first few weeks of a challenge, expect the classes to be packed (about 50 people per class). The meal plan is great but hard for vegetarians/vegans as there is less guidance or support provided. Staff are quick to respond to emails.

I started with Go Girl after a long stint of no exercise due to a back injury. They were encouraging and telling me ways to adjust exercises to ensure I didn't get re-injured but still pushing me to be my best. After 2 6-week classes I became a full time member and haven't looked back since. I'm lost & kept off weight and inches. Great group of instructors which makes a great group of ladies to work out with - all are encouraging and friendly.
