Love this park. If you're into birds or bird watching this a great place to do it in April - May every year. We spent the day here yesterday and saw dozens of different bird species including a few that we've never seen before. They have a good variety of trails including forested trails and a marsh trail that is good for seeing water fowl. Also a couple of camp stores for supplies, firewood, food, bait etc and decent camp sites. The food at the park restaurant is very good.. be sure to try the Fries Supreme .. 😎😍

I missed the most incredible picture of a sunset but the place was beautiful and fun to explore on our small boat. If you are camping look at the map as we felt we were a little far away from the washrooms. The campsites vary in privacy and tree cover so also look at the photos if this concerns you. My aunt and uncles site was covered in mulberries so it would have been a mess if they had been renting. It wasn’t full when we were there and no one seemed too rowdy at night.

Great park work a fantastic variety of scenery. There are sand beaches to visit for swimming, trails through the woods and marshy areas, as well as a long trail on the west side going along a large wetlands area. Lots of roads with people biking and walking through the park. The visitors center had exhibits about different trees in the area as well as a few animals. When I visited they had a raccoon just outside trying his luck at the bird feeders to get seeds.

If you need an electrical site make sure you bring an extra long extension cord. The power supply on almost all the sites are set way back. Also none of the sites offer a water hook up for trailers. The "good" beach is a little far and the dog beach is far better. Otherwise, well groomed and clean and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

I grew up going to Rondeau and frankly I've had a bad attitude towards it. In recent years they are going through great lengths to return it to nature. We visited with our kids to hike a trail or two. We had a great time, trails were beautiful weather was a bit chilly but the trees kept the wind off so it wasn't to bad. We will definitely be returning and likely making Rondeau one of our go to spots. If you have been or like me haven't been in a while give it a try you won't regret it. Try the spice bush trail it's one of my favorites.
