I think this camp should make it known on their website that this is a Shia camp. Normally, I would never think there would need to be a distinction, but after coming to this camp, I think there should. They had rocks, inscribed with Hassan’s name, in baskets for people to pray on. People were surprised and astonished that we were Sunni, as this camp was solely for Shias. This is a beautiful camp with beautiful facilities and a lot of sweet people and staff. However, there were some people who made us feel uncomfortable because we were Sunni. And acted in a way in which they would not probably have done if we weren't. During a question and answer, someone asked what was the difference between Sunnis and Shias and an Imam answered that Sunnis were jealous of Shias. Then some kids in the camp reported their money was stolen, so the head of the camp addresses and questions our brother who is a minor, even though we were in a family cabin, distanced away from the boys cabins. Afterwards, a man comes up to confront our brother in front of his family members and other boys in a crowd who he made friends with, saying how he was a suspect, but they don't mean any harm by it. This man recounts to everyone listening why my brother is a suspect, what happened, and that of course our brother didn't do it, but they just have to routinely check all suspects. Then at night around 11pm, a teen counselor boy pounds on our door, demanding entry because he believed a boy from the boy cabins to be in our cabin! An hour later, at 12am, three men come saying they want our brother, a minor to follow them to the office, and to bring his bag with them. (Because as an "outsider" he is likely one of the suspects). At 1am our brother returns, as obviously they don't find the money that was stolen from the cabins on him. To me, logically, a suspect would be from the boys’ cabin who a. would be in the boys’ cabin, therefore see where the boys place their money b. situated in the cabin comfortably to enter and exit as he pleases c. the fearlessness that no one would question him if they were to see or spot him! And most probably the boy would pretend his wallet was stolen as well to divert suspicion from himself. Again there were many people here who were kindhearted but unfortunately the ones who weren’t created a bad experience. We would never recommend this camp to anyone nor return. Inshallah, we'll pray for everyone at this camp to be guided to the right path.

More than just a camp that includes extra curricular activities, but a camp of spirituality because of the altruistic volunteers and speakers. The facility is in excellent condition and I recommend going to this camp.

I would say I liked the camp when we sent our brother at first, but things changed once I received a phone call that he had to leave asap. They do not know how to take care of kids with problems. I do understand we live in America, bad words, cursing and things are around us. Boys are teenagers. As a single parent my mother sent my brother for a month, which cost us $1760 for a month without things for him to take and the flight. The brother who calls us letting us know he is doing good and having fun, told us we have to sent him back due that they can't handle his words and that it can cause problems with other campers- mind you everyone at the camp knows my brother since they all went to Sunday school at Iman Ali. He was taken to his room to back at 10pm, taken out from camp at 11 so no one can see him leave and was at the airport for 5 hours until his flight was boarding at 5:45am. What kinda of Muslim people are you? We are not a rich family. But 1760 is very expense and hard to find. He was sent home didn't care if someone can pick him from the airport. Now that it is soon for the camp to end, they do not want to give us the refund? They do not want to give us the amount that needs to refund because it is their policy? Well, this a some b/s, our own Muslim people can rip you off. Embarrassment to Taha camp! I will never sent my child or any one I know to this camp. NO stars can fill that
