Camp Matoaka has got to be the greatest place ever! I have worked here going on 3 years, and I honestly can say that this is a amazing place for Campers and Staff. The moment I met my kids in my bunk I fell in love with the place and I have kept returning. I am definitely attached to this place. You spend two months in the most beautiful place in Maine. I spend most of my time outside and I can't complain its a blast. Whether your a camper or a staff member you will not regret spending your summer here. Wendy the asst. director is the nicest person. She helped me feel good about traveling 3,000 miles to camp for the first time and answered all the questions I had. Jason and Leslie are the owners and are also really nice and their goal is to make sure campers have a great summer and they achieve that every summer. Everyone at camp lives 10 months during the year just for 2 months at camp.

Matoaka is an amazing place to spend your summer, I’ve made life long friends and have the best memories thanks to my time working at this camp. There’s never a dull moment there - fun and laughter 24/7! Activities to suit everyone. Can’t wait to get back for summer number three!

Camp Matoaka is my favorite place! I'm going back this summer for my second year as a counselor. Jason, Leslie, and the other office staff really go above and beyond for the campers, staff, and anyone else at camp. I'm not exaggerating at all when I say that working here was the best decision I ever made. If you're thinking about sending your kids here or coming to work here, definitely do it.

I have worked at Camp Matoaka for the past six years and I could not think of happier place to work. The directors of the camp are amazing and you can see their excitment for the camp. The girls gain so much confidence and every day learn new skills. Their is so much variety for the campers! Camp Matoaka will always be my second home
