With any business big or small one should take all necessary measures with respect to the health and safety of their clients. This was not the case with respect to this business. During the orientation of the dog sledding the guides informed us to take precautions regarding the protection of the huskies. However no mention was made that their dogs can get aggressive when hungry or tired. Instead they suggested we pet the dogs and reward them with love and affection after the ride. Which is what we did. But one of the dogs grabbed our 4 year old son by the thigh and tore into him. Luckily he was wearing 3 layers of pants including a snow suit which protected him from a puncture. The staff was unapologetic but quick to calm and dismiss the situation as 'the bad doggy will be disciplined'. But in reality you cannot blame the animal. But blame the lack of knowledge and expertise of the trainers who should know that their dogs might be tired and agitated after a hard days work. Hence placing muzzles on the dogs or making sure that the guides indicate which dogs are most docile and safe to pet. A few staff members were kind enough to help clean the wound with soap and water. And as parents we were relaxed enough to dismiss the whole issue that anyone else would have blown it into a court case or at least demanded a refund. We quietly walked out with a traumatized child and simply chucked it to experience. An expierience gone horribly wrong due to the lack of professionalism and expertise of those running the business.

Dogs seemed well cared for and happy and the sledding was the highlight of our vacation. However, when calling to make a reservation the man on the phone was extremely rude. I passed it off as maybe just difficulty understanding each other until we got to the place and the same man who was on the phone (and who also happens to be the owner to my understanding) was still rude and condescending to us. The woman in the lobby who helped me change my boots was also not very nice and rude. However, the older gentleman who greeted us in the parking lot, and the tour guide and instructor we had were wonderful and very helpful. Overall nice place, wonderful dogs, amazing sled ride and guides, and a few very rude people in management.

Thinking about a dog sledding jaunt...don't hesitate, do it! This was the highlight of our vacation! The owners who answered the phone every time that I called were not confient with their English, but it was very good. I just asked, "parlez-vous anglais", so that I didnt stumble over my French on the phone and they all replied, "I will try!" Everyone we encountered here could communicate very well in English. They were all very nice even though we were late since uber drivers didn't want to take us since it took them too far out. It would have been cheaper to rent a car for the day. We went the day after the blizzad so it was quite cold and wished we had snow pants even though we wore 2 layers of pants. The smart people in our group had brought ski goggles. The dogs were clean and well cared for. They truly wanted to be the ones pulling the sled! The sleds were comfortable. We took an uber from downtown. This took 30 minutes once someone accepted the fare out to the country. We were unable to find an uber back to the city, so we took a bus. We had to walk to the bus stop, I would have gladly paid someone to take us to the bus stop, but that was not offered. I found the employees and owners to be very nice. The older gentleman was quite dear. They encouraged us to thank and give the dogs attention after the ride. This seems to be an upstanding business.
