More expensive than other gyms in the city. Our entire family of 4 has a membership at a newer gym in the city (with access to multiple locations) for much less than my husband’s individual PLUS membership was. In addition, the gym we now go to is MUCH more family friendly and much cleaner than the Y.

Thanks for great service preston, the RMT and other RMT. Always had my massage here and always feel better after.

Clean. The. Gym. Floors. Its so slippery you can't play basketball. The staff lazily push a dry mop across the gym floor a few times and that's it. Slippery floors cause injuries!!!!!!!! I wish I could offer to clean the floor because I know I would do it 10x better than the staff there. Absolutely 0 grip.

Locker rooms are disgusting! The bathrooms smell like sewer. There is mud in alot of the lockers. I'm sure they haven't been cleaned in years. There is kids that run around in the evening and play on the work out equipment in the conditioning area. As well as the track and weigh lifting room. Last time my husband and I were there we had to wait on kids to get off the exercise equipment and then we headed to the track weight lifting area and there was kids knocking over stuff and disrupting work out routines. After all that I had kids running in and out of the steam shower like it was a play area and then had food all over the bench in front of my locker. I'm my opinion the downtown Ymca has no control over their establishment. On our way out we were going to let the staff know what was going on but the girl behind the desk was having a convo with a friend so we phoned and no one answered. If you want a good gym go to the east location the staff is amazing it's new clean and organized.
