Wonderful experience. Great accomodations for a self-sufficent stay. Walk right into the national park. Lovely marsh with lots of waterfowl right out the front door. Wonderful natural sounds, great sunsets and sunrises and amazing night sky. Very helpful hosts.

Private, luxurious, comfortable, and we felt looked after. Beautiful place to stay inside and out. Neil is a very hard working person. We had a lovely stay.

We just spent three wonderful nights at The Crossing. Our room was spotless, the bed and sheets were the most comfortable (I even asked where she bought the sheets) and the view spectacular. After hiking we would sit on the balcony and have a drink and just enjoy the sights and sounds. On our balcony there was a gate so we could let our dog roam free - on the property as well too but we were watchful where she went. The room had a small kitchenette and we had access to a BBQ so we cooked each night. Neil advised us ahead of time to bring groceries and I was glad we did. There is a grocery store that seemed well stocked but it is closed on Sundays and some items are very expensive - while others are reasonable. Susan told us we could hike the national park from their lot but we drove to various spots for the day. I really enjoyed getting up early with our dog and going outside while everyone was still sleeping, it was very peaceful. Susan and Neil are very friendly and helpful offering all sorts of tips on what to see and do and yet they are very respectful of your privacy. I think we will return next year to do more hikes and to enjoy their little piece of paradise.
