This is THE place to stay in Chicken! We came into Chicken with a toad searching for this RV Park b/c it had WiFi, but we couldn’t find it!Accidentally, we went to the one across the road, and got so upset, we almost left town. Luckily, we stumbled on to this camp, and they were fantastic! FREE gold panning right out of the creek, and you keep what you find! Reasonable rates, great food, friendly people. Makes me feel like I’m back in the south!

Friendly woman at the store explained all about campground and about the different options for looking for gold. Today we only gold panned. Will come back later this summer to camp and prospect with more equipment.

Had the best experience here with our family. Great coffee, super cute gift shop you just have to see. RV park is a parking lot, with hook ups if needed. open spaces. Clean bathrooms and shower for a fee. We did pan for gold with a guide...great experience and kid friendly for our 4 and 6 year old. We lucked out and had 75 degree weather both days we were there. I would certainly put this on your bucket list to visit when traveling Alaska!
