We've been offered with a larger room due to our wedding anniversary, and this loft is really spacious, comfortable and cozy. Furniture is not so fresh everywhere, but overall it's pretty modern. This room has a bit of a mountain (but mostly air conditioner) view and nice sofa. The TV upstairs is a joke, but you don't come to Banff and watch TV, aren't you? Staff is very helpful, reception is quite fascinating with all the lights over it, but what you should keep in mind is parking. It has only 6'1" clearance, so be careful. If you won't fit, staff should offer a replacement spot on the street, but it's very limited

The lobby area is really nice and the decorations are nice, but two outlets near the washroom did not work. The bed was very soft, which I liked. It's an older hotel, so I think they're trying to up its functionality. The placement of the hotel is great because it's close to the shops of Banff. I don't know if I'd stay here again admittedly.....like, maybe? If the price is cheap.

It was a good stay.. except that I couldn’t connect to their wifi and the air conditioning was down making our room feel like a sauna.. none of these is the staff’s or the hotel’s fault as technology isn’t always 100% reliable,. The staff were great so the three stars are mainly for them and keeping the room and place clean..

Elk Ave Hotel is located right on the end of the commercial zone of Banff Ave, which is cross street of IGA. Most of the shops and eats are within 200m to 800m. The lobby is new, and nicely renovated and redecorated. Unfortunately we stayed in the older side of the property. A/C has installed but not in operational. They have a ceiling fan and a floor fan. We had the window opened and people can hear my kids shouting and yelling they the night. The good thing is they provides couple of pairs of ear plug. I hope my neighbors wear them for the night.

Stayed here for one night, upon getting to the hotel it was very modern and clean looking. You can tell it has been “renovated” from an older hotel.. for example, the rooms are super modern but then have a thermostat and a ceiling fan from like 30 years ago. Super deep and nice soaker tub in the room to have a relaxing bath in. They advertise having underground parking but only a 6’1 clearance which means only small cars will fit. Room was clean although it seemed there were long black hairs everywhere (tub, under blanket, on desk, on towels) probably from the maid that cleaned the room. The location was very close to many restaurants and shops, we walked everywhere from the hotel.
