Had a two day workshop. Soup and sandwiches for lunch was good. Cookies for shrinking snack were a little dry and not fresh. Clean bathrooms, clean boardrooms, friendly staff.

Quick facts: - complimentary airport shuttle that hotel advertises doesn't exist. I called the hotel upon my arrival and was told the shuttle is coming. One hour and 3 more calls later, the van finally arrived BUT it had no signage of the hotel on it (this shuttle serves other hotels). So make sure to ask each shuttle and each driver if he serves Hilton Garden Inn - after 1.5 hour i finally arrived to hotel - and lovely front desk person kindly offered me free breakfast as a compensation for my inconvenience. That's very kind, especially that breakfast is actually included in my rate... - GM of the hotel was there at the front desk when i arrived and complained - and immediately disappeared - Then, lovely front desk person offered me a glass of wine at the bar. But even then it didn't work - when i came to the bar and ask for wine, the bartender just said "I know nothing about that". I would expect her to say "let me check with front desk" especially that the bar is actually connected to front desk. I tried to share this situation with front desk but the gentlemen apparently wasn't really interested to deal with it. I rarely write reviews as i travel all the time and simply have no time for it. But this situation i wanted to share and suggest that you choose a different hotel when transiting in Edmonton - there are plenty of them. Shame for Hilton that this property is proudly under your brand.

Been to this Garden Inn several times, and they set the bar for all the others I visit. When staying for work, I judge hotels on: Cleanliness 5 Internet speed. 5 Shower Pressure/Hot Water 5 Gym Size 3 (standard for Garden Inn but clean) 1 is awful, 3 is good, and 5 is great. N/a means I did not use. * This seems to be a new hotel property **4 stars is everything on par, and I reserve 5 stars for something extraordinary that happened during my stay.

Inexperience is rampent at this one time great chain. From broken TV's and beds the A\C that works if you hold your breath being overcharged on a deposit ( 1452.57 charged to my Visa) after using debit to pay for the room. It started to go wrong when we made arrangements to pay by debit and put a deposit on Visa my Visa was charged mulitple times before yes finally it was resolved. To being told there is nothing that can be done as our TV shorts outlet after outlet out. My family and I stayed here as it was the only suite that was available in the area after a house fire forced us out of our home. The problems at this hotel have been almost as much of a nightmare as our house fire. Great for a short one or two day stay I would highly recommend elsewhere for any length over that
