It was a nice motel in Blackfalds. A better choice over the BMI in Blackfalds. It was very clean and the people at the front desk was very welcoming and polite. The gym was good to work out in but not very much options for weight lifting. There was fair amount of treadmills and two bicycles. Can not get dumbbells over 50lbs. The free breakfast in the morning was nice but its the same everyday when I stayed there. Beds were comfy and the were rooms clean. Highly suggest get a suite over a regular room. It is larger and you get a microwave and fridge. If you are staying in Blackfalds for awhile and plan to work out. There a few gyms in the town you can choose from since the motel only has a selection to offer. Overall, I have to say I enjoyed my stay at the Microtel inn & Suites!

While it's definitely a budget hotel, you get a lot more than what you pay for. The hotel is newer and well appointed and is very quiet and quite clean. It's also very convenient to grocery and liquor stores and restaurants. The only minor complaint is that upkeep seems a little lax - walls are damaged and some of the amenities (hot tub, ice maker) were out of service during our stay.

Standard new hotel. Rooms are clean. Beds are not amazing, but they are nice. The rooms themselves weren't very well thought out. The heater/ac points right at the bed so you're either hot or cold when its on. The shower look modern, but isn't very practical. you get wet turning them on ( have to step into the back of the shower) and since nothing blocks the water the bathroom floor is constantly wet. The toilet paper rolls are in an inset holder, and new rolls are too big , so they don't roll. Instead you get 1 sheet of instead of what you actually need. But the staff is friendly and the Internet is fast when there is not too many people at the hotel. The free breakfast isn't the best. But it is free.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and found the service and amenities to be well above par. ALL the front desk personnel go above and beyond the call of duty. I primarily dealt with night staff and found Darlene and Louise to be exceptional hosts and without prejudice of any kind. I am already recommending this place to others. Keep up the good work!!!

Nice place to stay, we had a quiet night, and woke to a decent complimentary breakfast and a Tim Hortons next store.
