Older hotel. Some of it def needs a bit updating. Huge room - King suite for a very reasonable price. Super nice staff. Bed was very comfy which is always important! Ate lunch in the restaurant and it was good. Waitresses are super friendly and nice! There is a pool which I never had a chance to use. I would definitely stay again.

First thoughts are "lipstick on a pig" its an old hotel with half attempts at renovations. The hotel was very clean. Hotel staff was very friendly. The bathtub was chipped, ceiling was poorly patched in washroom and was falling in. Washrooms are tiny. The event center was very nice as was the lobby. It was warm when we stayed and the AC could not keep up. Price is very high for what you get. Breakfast not included in the high price.

Nice bed, quiet room. That's all they had going for them though. We picked this hotel for our wedding guests to stay, on the promise that renovations would be done. They were not. We were given the executive suite, and it was the most run down room I've ever seen. The wallpaper was peeling everywhere, I had to pull up on the toilet to flush it. We made a game of counting what looked like vomit stains all over the carpets. And to top it all off, we tried to use the jacuzzi tub and there was brown poo colored water that came out of the taps. 10/10 won't ever stay here again.

While the Clarion is an older property, the look of the outside doesn't match the feel of the inside. Recently renovated rooms have a nice feel to them. The Clarion has a spacious lobby area and the continental breakfast is very good. The breakfast is served in the restaurant so there is lots of seating unlike other hotels that have a small and cramped room. Can't beat the room rate for the value. I was impressed.

Our stay at the hotel was really good. Had no issues checking in, the room was fairly nice for being a cheaper hotel and the staff was super friendly. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in Calgary.
