Very dated. The door knobs and electronic key card readers are all broken (with the handles freely spinning around in circles with their bolts taped to keep them in the door itself, meaning the only way to open or close the door was with the traditional key doubling as a deadbolt and door handle! Breakfast had a few options, nothing too bad but nothing worth being ecstatic about either. Rooms were generally clean, albeit smaller, with no microwave (perhaps only on our 2-queen bed room). Bathrooms are modern, albeit small (standing shower only). Very pleasant staff.

The Centro Motel is the place to stay... especially if you have a pet!! The rooms are clean, modern and spacious, with the exception of the bathroom. The shower and toilet are in a very small space with a frosted glass door for privacy, while the sink and vanity area are at the back of the main room. The beds are comfortable and covered with a crisp white duvet. If you have a pet... I’d suggest bringing their bed, if you have one. The flooring is laminate and may not be comfortable, depending on where your pet likes to sleep. I love that I can walk out the door with my dog and not have to climb stairs, as their pet rooms are on the main level. You also have many great places to walk your dog in the area. There is a very scenic trail along the river, just across the street and a beautiful, quiet neighbourhood just behind the motel. Everything you could want or need is within walking distance, as well. Breakfast is included with your stay and they provide a selection of (waffles/pancakes, toast, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, granola bars, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, coffee, premium tea, coffee, hot choc, etc). The Centro Motel is a really nice, comfortable, pet friendly place to stay. This is my go to, every time I’m in Calgary. I always look forward to staying here.

Clean motel, updates were nice although laminate floor has seen better days(bubbling due to exposure to water). Sound proofing is lacking and could hear every step upstairs made. Robes were large and plush. Continental breakfast was nice enough. Check-in/check-out were fast and easy enough. Overall value for money was good.

Nice, clean room. Paid upfront, but had to move out 5 days earlier. Did not receive anything back, no refund policy. Lost a lot of $$. Was promised that going to receive 25$ back from deposit, this did not happened as well. Other than that, great location, easy access to all parts of the city.

AMAZING experience, especially for the price!!! We were in a bind and had to find a hotel within a few hours as we were coming from Banff. Called and booked a king size room, and the guy was very pleasant on the phone. We had some fears looking at google maps, and once we got there we were a little alarmed as it's not the greatest area. Once we got into the room however, it was just WOW, so much nicer than we were expecting and very very CLEAN!! The whole motel is newly renovated, so everything is new and modern. Even the outside of the building looked nice. They have complimentary breakfast, and the pet fee was only $20/night as opposed to $25 with most other places, so that was even more value added to the already amazing deal they offer. The only cons about the experience would be a few things about the room, like the laminate flooring was already pulling up and looks like it needs replacement already. Also the top part of the tap on the sink pulled right off when I went to use it. Other than that, which are things barely worth mentioning, I cannot say a bad thing about it. It's also close by the river valley, a park, and about a 10 minute drive to downtown and the popular 17th Avenue. Would definitely stay here again, assuming that they keep up to date with maintenance, but even so, for the price you cannot go wrong! :) :)
