Went on a 4-day trip to the Banff area and stayed at this lodge. Our family rented a room that was basically like a 2-bedroom apartment (our was a king in the master, and a queen in the other room). Came fully furnished with a dining room table, refrigerator, sink, stocked kitchen with pots/pans/utensils/plates/bowls, washer/dryer - you get the idea. It was a fully furnished space with a small patio area outside both the rooms and living room. It was very cozy and we did not have any issues. Beds were comfortable and the AC/heating worked perfectly. Design of the room was modern with stainless steel appliances. The staff was also very friendly and very attentive. We requested an extra set of blankets because I actually slept on the couch. Staff came within a few minutes with the blankets and some restroom items we needed. Besides that, there are restaurants and a grocery store fairly close-by to the lodge. Also took a dip in the jacuzzi one of the nights, and it was hot and refreshing. The weather at the end of June is great. Not too cold and bearable. They have 2 jacuzzis, which is great for multiple parties to have their own space. We went in the summer and barely had to wear long sleeves on the day there was scattered showers, so plan accordingly if you are going in the winter. Posted below is a picture of the mountains in the background, in the morning.

Definitely one of my favorite places in Canmore! I love the stocked kitchen so I can make my own food, sweet pool and it's pretty close to where you want to go! The staff are helpful and engaging! Check it out! It's not cheap but you get good value on what you pay for!

Very disappointed with how they handled a situation. I was in a wedding party and had to leave for photos when I told the front desk my name, and that my husband (told them his name) was on his way to check in so please to have him bring my suitcase up with him. They assured me it would be no problem. When he got there they refused to let him check in because his name was not technically on the reservation even though his name was on the credit card that booked and paid for the room. Also, I told them his name moments before. When I finally got a call from them two hours later, they apologized because they assumed he had the same last name as me. For $300/night my husband had to nap in his car, and showed up to the wedding in a sweaty dress shirt. They apologized profusely and when I didn't seem satisfied she said "If you're hoping for compensation or a discount that's not going to happen." Brittany at the front desk was whom I spoke with but she placed me on hold to confirm this with the manager. So, sorry is as far as they will go in terms of taking accountability for their assumptions and miscommunications. They can't be bothered with customer service.

The Blackstone Lodge is a modern, mid level hotel/resort in Canmore. This was our first stay here. Admittedly we typically stay at the Falcon Crest Hotel which we are very happy with but we decided to try something different. Both hotels are "Clique" hotels. We were very satisfied with our stay. The rooms were just as nice as the Falcon Crest and the views (at least from our room) were amazing. We ended up being upgraded to a suite on the 4th floor with their 'premium' mountain view. Rooms were spacious and clean and the bed was comfy. There are tow hot tubs outside and a pool. There is also underground parking for guests. We'll definitely be staying here again
