Avoid, has a massive bed bug infestation... my friend was covered in angry red bites.

Terrible service! I talked to employees of this hostel on multiple occasions over a 6 week period, not once was I told I needed a credit card to stay here. I was lead to believe this was like most other hostels, not the case. They wouldn't take cash deposit and shut the door on me staying there over the credit card issue for a dorm room. I waited 4 hours in Courteney for them to open after, my bus had arrived. I had to hitch hike a drive to Nanaimo to stay at one of there hostels as, the one in Cumberland is full at the moment and no buses until morning. I have in injury to a foot, doctors orders to stay off of it, 50lbs backpack hobbling down the highway all because the employees here didn't tell me about the Credit card. Needless to say my plans have/are changing as I type. I was there for a job to start next week, not looking so. Cona hostel I wish I wasn't writing this about you. Get you heads out of your ass, your customer service is terrible. The staff information your credit card policy to the strong stance giving to me for not having a credit card to stay in a hostel is absolutely ridiculous unfriendly and not hostel like. There are alot of people something like this could effect worse then it did me. Shame on you Cona I will tell everyone about my unfortunate run in with you.
