This hotel is a bit dated, and don't expect much in the way of amenities... BUT the price seems very reasonable for the location: right in the heart of the city center. Everything is very easily accessed by foot (we walked our luggage down from the ferry terminal and it was a jolly stroll).

I really liked staying here! We got a room facing the courtyard so it was pretty quiet as the street side can be quite noisy. It's in a great central area so if you're going to be walking around a lot like we were, then this place would be perfect! Great price too! Would definitely stay here again!

Nice old building in the heart of downtown Victoria. It was very convenient for exploring the shopping area and close enough to walk down to the wharf. The room was very large, with a big comfortable bed, 2 chairs and a large tv. The ensuite has a bath with a shower in it and a toilet. Everything was clean and well presented. Unfortunately the fireplace couldn't be used due to renovations on our side of the hotel, which was disappointing. It's also a very busy and noisy area on a Friday night. With two pubs directly below the hotel, the partying went on very late, and then there was loud machinery that started up outside early in the morning. So, a good place to stay if you want to be in the centre of town and enjoy the night life, but not the place for a quiet night in.

Great location, but certainly not a luxury hotel. Has all the basic amenities and the staff were very friendly. They were also nice enough to let me store my bike in the hotel.

This hotel is a good value for what you pay. Great location, 2 bars on site as well. The factor I found to be quirky and fun. It was very clean despite the old fashioned style. It was good for my 1 night stay on my own. If I was traveling with my family or on a longer stay, I would choose a place with more amenities, and more upscale.
