I booked a hotel for an employee who was flying to Vancouver to training in June. At the last minute the training was rescheduled. I contacted The Met and explained my situation. I was 1 hour past their 24 hour cancellation policy, therefor I was charged $151.54 cancellation fee. I understand the cancellation policy, but $151.54 is high considering the circumstances. I have cancelled with hotel chains within 24 hours in the past without an issue. I will not re-book with The Met in the future, nor can I recommend them to anyone else.

Well situated near the river and close to Columbia Station. Large rooms well equipped but in a very used condition (renovation is neccessary). A bit noisy if your room is backwards. You hear skytrain and guests at the terrace of the pub. The staff is not very professional. They just trying their best.

Locked out of the hotel. The code didn’t work, saw an employee passby, showed my room key the paperwork provided by frontdesk during checkin and still wouldn’t let me in, claiming “I’m not an employee” - whilst walking in and out of the employee only doors. Spend $20 more and you can stay at a much more professional and cleaner hotels.

Cute place. They don't have parking or breakfast but the rooms are spacious. They also require a $100 refundable safety deposit when reserving hotels.

Simple cheap hotel, water temp is my only complaint since it kept changing from cold to warm or vice versa.
