I was at Parq for a wedding banquet on a Saturday afternoon/evening. The Venue was not easily accessible by car during rush hour, since downtown Vancouver traffic is pretty terrible. Once I finally reached the front of the hotel, valet parking was quick and easy, and they were polite and professional. The overall venue was well managed and clean. Family and baby friendly. The cocktail reception for the wedding banquet I was attending had very good service, and the food and drinks were excellent. For the banquet, from appetizers to dessert, all the dishes were meticulously prepared. Presentation, plating, and taste were all excellent. However, perhaps some of the servers were a bit new, since they missed my entire section when serving the soup. Once we inquired about it though, the response was quick. At one point, I briefly left the table, and I returned to find that my half finished entree was missing. I was disappointed since it was so tasty. At the same time, I was impressed that they cleaned the tables so efficiently and quickly during the brief moments that I stepped away from the table. The lighting, sound system were all excellent as well. Overall, I would recommend this venue for hosting events.
