For the price, the Grouse Inn was adequate. If you are looking for upscale, look somewhere else. The in needs upgrading but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Traffic noose did not seem to be am issue even though the inn is on two major arteries. I would most likely stay again if circumstances permit.

I cannot begin to explain how unclean this place was. The first room they gave us smelled gross and upon inspection of hide away sofa bed we were disgusted. Not only was it dirty having food particles around and under the bed but mattress protector was stained. The bed wasn’t even made. We promptly went back to the office where we were we were told we could no longer cancel the room but if we did then they would still charge us the full amount. So I then told them room is unclean and they sent a staff member with me to show/verify what I said was 100% true. Got another room and kept saying to each other only 1 night. Went off to do errands and came back later, then opened this sofa bed to find bedding dirty and hair on it. Now guys I wish I was exaggerating but I am Not. The lone staff member at front desk managed to find us freshly laundered bedding which we had to put on ourselves. The bathroom is so dirty that I could not even shower here because yes it’s that bad. Manager doesn’t seem to care and if there was a health inspector to call I would do it. Not sure who that is here in BC but someone needs to do something. 100% dirty and unsanitary. I asked for a call back about conditions from Manager but to date have not received one. Don’t stay here!!

I liked the charming retro vibe, generous breakfast and unique flower garden, but I didn't enjoy the strong smell of urine in my room :/ I have my suspicions about the greenish yellowish decorative pillows on the beds. I read that the hotel provides guests with access to a gym. Didnt have time to check it out but that's pretty awesome.

This is really a nice hotel to stay in Vancouver if you are on a business trip or leisure. The stay is like home especially in the 1 bedroom suite. The suite is spacious with free WiFi and parking. All the shops are nearby. Very near to Capillano suspension bridge, Lynn Canyon, Grouse mountain and Stanley Park.

We had a pretty decent stay. The rooms were quite nice and the services were great. There were a few problems especially with the toilets being way too close to the wall to be able to sit on normally as well as broken outlets. The breakfast was okay; it did have more food options than some other hotels that we stayed in. Overall, the hotel isn't bad at all.
