Came to Vancouver for my 39th BD and tomorrow for my mom's 60th. ThistleDown was chosen for me. Charmed. Brian offered me the last drop of his hidden whisky collection bottle. Mind blown, never expected whisky could be that velvety smooth. Garden is super cozy and a nice place to just forget everything. Herb garden with pineapple and lemon sage. The sweetest tasting dill leaves I've ever tasted. Outdoor lounge, mosses growing on a old tree, morning was dead quiet, I hear the light bulbs. Toilet was a little small, but all the white tiles around it is spotless and the base is chaulk and sealed. Same for the pedestals vanity. It's been gone through with white gloves. Love the attention to details. Doesn't come with any detergent or perfume smell, just old fashion elbow grease cleaning. Just had to do that section because I'm staring at the washroom as I type looking for something to complain about. This toilet size is all I can come up with. But it's mounted there nice and solid. Spotless - its magazine picture ready. What the hell, I'll take a picture!!😋 In this experience, there was no road construction, no morning sound, no road noise to complain about. The mattress is firm, which is to my liking. I have a bad back (L5/S6 disc) and the combination of firm mattress and comfortable soft duvet was perfect for a well rested wake up. Gonna take a picture of the mattress brand. I'm switching out my mattress when I get home. It's nice waking up feeling this good. Definately does feel like a home away from home, but with less clutter. I read the complaint about AC, and asked Brian about it, he showed me the new HVAC system and says it's a commercial system rated for 9000 sq.ft. which is twice that is needed for this house. So AC is there. My room was a perfect 21c. I am in the food service industry, happenned to have my laser thermometer on hand. Parking space is plenty, and right at the front door, ready to arrive and depart. My window faces a bamboo growth, and I for some reason want to walk through it. Kicking my legs up on the garden lounge, you know, this is the life. A private oiasis in the most prized plot of land in Vancouver. But if you ask anyone in Vancouver, every plot of land is a prised plot. But here, its a place that's been around for a while. Enough time for the moss to set in on all the low hanging trees. Robins up hopping around. A hop vine not quite ready to harvest, but ideas are brewing. A place that just make me want to pull out an old fashion note book, a pen, and start writing. But alas, its an apple MacBook instead. Close enough. Just took a deep breath. The BC air is so refreshing.

My wife and I stayed two nights at this cozy B&B in November. It's in a great location being just about a two minute walk from the Capilano Suspension Bridge and a ten minute drive to Grouse Mountain. You can even catch a bus to Grouse Mountain if you don't want to the drive, the bus stop is about a two minute walk. The morning breakfast was delightful and the coffee was about the best I've ever had. The room overlooked a beautiful garden and our room had a small patio. We enjoyed wine on the veranda at night. The owner Brian was very nice and every small detail was covered. The residential structure is about one hundred years old and in great shape. When I come back to Vancouver I will definitely stay here again.

Lovely B&B in the heart of West Vancouver. Excellent service, and we enjoyed the balcony in Mulberry Peak.
