Very nice hotel. Our room had a spectacular view. Ask for room 307 if you get the chance. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Granville Island is a beautiful spot and this hotel fits in perfectly.

Beautiful waterfront location on the quiet end of Granville Island, walking distance from anywhere you'd like to visit on the island, and central to Vancouver's Downtown, Fairview, and Kitsilano neighbourhoods. Ample parking. Highlights: friendly and effective staff, quality food, quality service, interesting building conversion / architecture. The indoor/outdoor waterfront restaurant and bar was impressive for its menu, quality of food, size and aesthetic....one of the nicest patios in Vancouver, in my opinion. Expensive hotel (we paid $350/night) for the quality of the furnishings in the rooms, but the price reflected the location, large room size, comfortable beds, beautiful views, etc. Highly recommended. Even if you don't stay, visit the restaurant :)

Hotel was quaint, clean, and everyone was very polite. The room was smaller than expected. Everything closed at 10 on the island, including the hotel bar which was a bummer but other than that it was fine.

If I could give negative stars I would. Horrible policies and even worse customer service. We had a family medical emergency that caused us to cancel our trip. In the middle of dealing with doctors, surgeries and a litany of trip cancellations, we missed this hotel reservation. In calling the hotel after we were charged for the nights we didn't stay, they refused to refund us because "they were sold out". The lack of empathy and care for their guests is astounding. Do yourselves a favor and stay somewhere you know you'll be seen as a human and not a booking.

Stayed for 2 nights at the Granville Island Hotel and had an excellent experience. We had a Superior room with a nice view of the water. Reception staff were warm and welcoming and room service was quick and delicious. The only slight downside would be a lack of bath but the rain shower was refreshing and spacious. If you want to be away from the hustle of the downtown core but still central to everything Vancouver has to offer then I would highly recommend this hotel.
