I attended this Best Western Plus Sands Hotel location as part of a conference put together by a local Chapter. Their choice of facility exceeded the expectations of every participant I spoke to. The location is extremely well placed, as it provided easy walking access to many interesting sites within the West End. The hotel was only short walk away from enjoying the relaxing settings within Stanley Park, and the lively beaches in the vicinity. The overall hotel amenities and rooms, their friendly and helpful staff, along the cleanliness of the hotel were excellent. Definitely recommend this Best Western Plus Sands Hotel location for anyone wanting to enjoy the local area while travelling to or through the Vancouver.

Location is the best. Stayed 2 nights and found the rooms clean, beds very comfortable with a variety of pillows to choose from. Staff was friendly and offered their assistance all the time. If I had to give a complaint it would be that the printer to the computer for printing my boarding pass did not work and the staff could not fix it. So they had me email my boarding passes to them and then they printed them off. The next time I go to Vancouver I will be booking a room with this hotel

The room we were given was old and out dated. At least it was on the quiet side of the bldg. But the room smelled and the carpet was stained and worn in several places. My wife wanted to wear her flip flops in the shower. Ugh. The cleaning staff was very nice. The front desk didn't care when we complained at check out. We saw other rooms on the floor as we were leaving...they looked better. We booked 2 nights and only stayed 1....cut our visit short because of it. I was surprised for the price...not like other BW's...very sad

Great location in Vancouver. Easy to get to public transit and English Beach. Stanley Park is within walking distance. Restaurant located in hotel had good food at reasonable prices. We would definitely stay there again.

Honestly the worst place I have stayed and I’ve stayed in rural areas of India. Other then seeing the cleaning lady every morning who was always happy I would of checked out my first night. Between them giving me two keys to other rooms upon checking in ( that were occupied by other people ) whom they didn’t even notify that some random person had gone into their room while they were gone. To being walked out to a downtown Vancouver alleyway at 1 in the morning by the bouncer to tell me that me paying $70.00 for a parking pass ( I had paid for two ) meant all the cars without one had more right to be there though they weren’t guests staying in the hotel. After pointing out three signs stating they had to be guests of park here being yelled at “ you know what I don’t need your attitude “ as he walked back to the hotel telling me to park in a Vancouver loading zone with signs stating I will be fined and towed at my own cost. Might I add waking up that morning to move my car at 5 am so I was not fined or towed the lots were still full by people from the bar the previous night all still with no passes or repercussions. Neither of my vehicles I paid to have there were parked on the property one of the nights and one was unable to park the first night yet they would not acknowledge that fact and after voicing my issues I was offered a free breakfast along with them not saying anything to those two rooms that I had entered. I did in fact run into those people across the hall and beside me and told them I was sorry for intruding and they had no idea what I was talking about so I happily told them what had happened. Again the staff did nothing. Would be ideal if contacted regarding this issue.
