What a lovely find! Perfect location, right across from the ocean and estuary. Both our rooms had a peek a boo view, and patios. Friendly welcoming staff, and easy walk to restaurants and shops. Loved our stay, highly recommend.

We stayed here for the BC Summer Games. Very good location, right next to the water. Rooms were very roomy and clean. Little outdated decor. Staff was very friendly. Can't beat the price, location and convenience.

Sure, the place is decent but whoever runs that place shouldn't. I rented a room last night for myself and my newborn baby, last minute and needed a place to stay after having a terrible evening. I checked in early in the evening and the front desk woman seemed nice enough but things changed later on when my friends came by to see that I was ok. All of a sudden there was a bunch of banging on my door and it was the same front desk woman. She began screaming at me about my friends and saying all sorts of things and even threatening to kick me out! She clearly had some sort of run in with my friends but I didn't hear or see it, so there should have been NO reason for her to come and yell at me. She was yelling at me if she catches my friends in the room that she WILL find out and kick me out immediately!. When I peaked my head out the door, there was a group of people sitting in chairs in the back parking lot- this was around 10pm and I think they were all drinking alcohol? Maybe even the front desk lady was drinking too, I'm not sure but they were the rest of them were glaring at me too. After the woman stopped screaming at me, she began walking back to this group of people. I was so upset and I came out a little bit with my son in my arms saying politely that I did not appreciate being yelled at like that and that I had already had a bad night and only needed a safe place to come. A man who was sitting yelled back at me almost immediately, "I DON'T CARE!"...and I said something back like "what, how can you not care....?". I was completely at a loss for words and just walked back inside my room. All night I was so worried that they were going to kick me out for any reason because I felt like they were those kind of people that clearly liked to cause drama and god knows what else. I was so scared because they were sitting outside my door watching me most of the night I'm sure. I had no where else to go. It was a TERRIBLE experience and I think people who treat their guests like that shouldn't be allowed to deal with the public because that was not okay at all. Hopefully they were only temporary staff and not the owners. Wow. Never recommending this place to anyone or ever coming back.

My boyfriend, daughter and I are staying here this weekend and as I write this, I am sitting up at 12:22am wide awake because every single sound anyone makes in any other room is echoed throughout my room. Footsteps taken outside sound as though they are directly in my room! The pillows in this room are hard as a rock, the decor outdated and honestly, I can’t say I recommend this to anyone.

Very good value. Rooms are clean and cheap. We had the cheapest room, but still had a fridge coffee maker and a couple of chairs on the veranda. Only a short walk into the centre of Colwichan Bay. Free parking on site.
