I stayed in the dancing bear inn for two weeks and really enjoyed my stay here! everything was super clean and the staff is very helpful in providing information and recommending things to do :) I loved the open, comfy and welcoming living room, perfect for hanging out and meeting other travellers! Location couldn't be any better, everything is in walking distance and there are plenty of good restaurants to eat out! can only recommend the dancing bear for your stay in nelson!

The Dancing Bear was an absolute delight to stay at! Will definitely book here any time I pass through Nelson, which will be more often because of the experiences I've had at the Bear. Few other hostels strike the delicate balance of clean updated spaces and comfortable, warm character. The inviting living room is a great place for both interaction and solitude. Decor is fun, and they are super helpful about things to do and places to go! AND to my delight, finally a hostel with PROPER COAT HANGERS! Strong board game selection and very respectful. Will be back!

I just checked out with my boyfriend. Staff has attitude and super noisy even at midnight. Used some earplugs that was provided but still couldn’t sleep cz of noise. I would never ever come to this place.

Great location and good clean rooms. You share a bathroom with the floor, but it's clean. No AC, so consider your dates.

Staff at the Dancing Bear inn/hostel are friendly, professional. The rooms are awesome and the location is perfect. All in all best decision I made this trip.
