Older property which has seen better days. Room was large/roomy; beds were comfortable and appreciated extra pillows which made getting good night's sleep easy. Decent on-site restaurant with several menu options. Highly recommend the fresh crab n' asparagus omelette or crab Benedict. Would have given 4 stars but accidentally kicked slippers under the bed and found this area has been overlooked by maid for who knows how long.

The accommodations were nice, and there was plenty of room. The service personnel were friendly and kind and helpful. But the bathroom did not have a fan in it, and the ac/fan was loud. Good size TV and a mini fridge. I would stay again.

This hotel has great accommodations. The only complaint I had was that the bathroom fan did not work and the shower curtain smelled old and stunk up the bathroom. Other than that, the room was clean and the staff was great. I also enjoyed the showering supplies they provide.

After staying at an awful hotel, Red Lion was a pleasant surprise. Our housekeeping actually showed up and cleaned while we were gone. They also were very prompt in dropping off extra towels when we requested them. There was not a fan in the bathroom and the shower curtain needed to be switched out. WiFi also got a little slow. However, there was a microwave and refrigerator in the room. The walkway along the water was right behind us. And I loved the bicycles that were available out front to ride around on. Lots of places to eat and shop nearby and there’s a restaurant at the hotel. Overall, I had a great stay.

The location of this hotel is amazing. It's within walking distance to everything you need (the ferry to/from canada, whale watching tours, farmers market, restaurants, shops). The staff was friendly and helpful. They also offer a complimentary breakfast. Downside, the rooms were old/rundown and had a unique smell (thankfully I had a beach blanket available so my little one could play on the floor). If you don't get one of the rooms over looking the water, then unfortunately your view consists of a parking lot. There is a pool but it's outdoor, which can be tricky with the weather. Overall I found the hotel to be a little disappointing but I would recommend it solely for the location!
