Our amazing room had a full ocean view and a patio perfect for sitting back to watch the world go by. The staff were approachable and happy. My son had his birthday while we were there. The hotel sent him a card, personally signed by staff, chocolate dipped strawberries and when the front desk lady heard it was his birthday sang happy birthday to him - opera style. She had a stunning voice. He will remember it always. What I was amazed by was that I didn't even have to ask if the hotel offered anything special for birthdays. They just did it because they heard us talking about his birthday. Awesome! The beach is very unique in that the tide goes out very far. Exposing a vast beach. It is great for kids to run, play, find treasures in tide pools, and float on the water as it is very shallow and warm when it does start to come back in. Bring your own chairs or towels to sit on. The beach is always wet/damp as a result of this feature. The room was very clean. I am extremely picky and basically inspect everything before my kids get all over beds etc. I was so happy and comfortable to find our space immaculate and it added to the experience. Once we get comfortable in a space I don't need cleaning staff to make beds etc and the hotel offers a 10 dollar discount at their restaurant each time you do not need your room cleaned. This is the first hotel I have seen offer this benefit. The only down side, and can't be helped by the hotel is the broken down motel next door and the town itself. The town is more widespread than a quaint seaside village. So make sure you have a car. Activities, other than the beach and mini golf require transportation as it is not really a walking town. I recommend this beautiful hotel and its unique beach setting for relaxing family fun.

Our reception upon arrival was friendly and efficient. When we got to our room I realized I had booked the wrong type of room, so they quickly and pleasantly moved us to the room with the view that we wanted. The suite was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. All the staff at the hotel were very pleasant and professional. The food in the dining room was lovely and we recognized our server, David, from a visit 3 years ago. Apart from the view, this excellent service and pleasant atmosphere is what has, and will, bring us back again. I would not recommend the spa that is located on the premises, but not part of the hotel. Our services were fine but the owner was not friendly upon our arrival, and the lady that provided my services was very negative about her co-workers.

I asked for a quiet room 3 times before and on my arrival. I was given a room directly above the walkway people use to get to the beach. It was Canada Day. It was not quiet. The room was very clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the beach. Front desk was helpful and had professional appearance although there was some issue with parking. I was told to rush and find a parking spot fast, which I did, yet there was no spot to be found. Front desk eventually took care of my car and had it ready for me early the next morning. I found the parking drama rather tacky and uncomfortable. I won't stay there again or suggest it to people. I had too many uncomfortable situations during my stay and when I consider the high price of the rooms, I will try a different place next time I'm in Parksville.

My wife and I have been owners of our quarter share condo at the Beach Club since the resort opened. We are very happy with all aspects of our stays there. The management team, housekeeping, maintenance and the beautiful views of the ocean and surrounding area always make our visit pleasurable. Pacific Prime restaurant is second to none for food, service, and ambiance. Staff needs to be commended for the calibre of dedication they show to make this destination the best in Parkville, and possibly the best on Vancouver Island.

Our family loves this place. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The indoor pool is an awesome oasis on a stormy day. We love having lunch on the patio. I couldn't think of any place I would rather spend my time.
