My wife and I have spent time at this lovely retreat on two occasions now and find it to be a wonderful place as well as great value. The suite itself is beautifully decorated with a fabulous view right on the water of Burrard Inlet. The room contains all the necessities for a comfortable stay and is thoughtfully stocked with condiments and spices. The cutlery and finishing touches are all very upscale. Additional amenities include the pool, dock , hot tub as well as close proximity to wonderful walking trails. Nearby are Newport Village and Suterbrook Village both of which have charming shops, pubs and restaurants of varying ethic tastes. It is also only an hour away from downtown Vancouver, which can be accessed to by public transit 5 minutes away. Making the stay even more enjoyable are your gracious hosts who are available for any additional needs you might have. We do not hesitate to recommend this retreat to anyone seeking a beautiful , quiet retreat close to Vancouver.

I rented the Alderside Beach house with my fiance while we were visiting Vancouver to attend a wedding at Old Orchard Hall in Port Moody. We were greeted upon our arrival by the owner and she made us feel right at home. The owner checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us suggestions for things to do which were in close proximity. The suite was spectacular. The pictures didn't do this place justice. We loved the swimming pool and hot tub. We love to cook and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Whether we were barbecuing, swimming or sitting on the deck, the views were incredible. We kayaked around the inlet and got to see lots of wild life including bald eagles and seals We chartered a boat and got to see the incredible natural scenery with Vancouver in the background. We had such a good time that we were really sad; depressed actually when we left. We came for a wedding and will be coming back soon to enjoy this amazing slice of heaven in Port Moody. A big thank you to the owners for making our stay truly memorable.

The location is to die for, and the place is beautiful. Finding Street parking was kind of a struggle, but I'd stay here again in a heartbeat

I recently returned from a vacation with my girlfriend and our stay at the Beach House was the highlight of our trip. The pictures and description do not do this place justice. Everything was just perfect for us. The host greeted us upon our arrival and went through all the amenities. She even left us some basic groceries which was greatly appreciated since we arrived tired from a long flight. Nice touch! There are so many fun things to do including swimming in the ocean, kayaking… the list goes on. We enjoyed the hot tub, swimming pool, eating late dinners and watching the sun set. We spent our days visiting various tourist hot spots in and around Vancouver but we always looked forward to our evenings at the Beach House. The accommodation was incredibly clean, the bed was super comfortable and the host was amazing. We look forward to coming back....next time we are staying longer.

A truly amazing place. Our home flooded and we stayed here while our house was being restored. It was as good as being on vacation. The location is stunning, the house is lovely and comfortable and Micheline and Franco are consummate hosts. I can't recommend the Beach House highly enough.
