We stayed at the Beach Grove for a night when we were attending an event in town. It is basic; comfy bed, hot water, very very quiet, a bit frayed around the edges. But ... great location; right across from the golf course in a quiet residential neighborhood, walk into town, just around the corner from the Beach Grove Cafe, where we had excellent coffee and a light breakfast. The owner/manager was charming and friendly. We would definitely go back. Great value, especially if you like to avoid the anonymity and corporate sameness (and high prices) of chain lodging.

Really get what you pay for, stayed in for a night and overall had a great stay. The owner is very very nice but could definitely use some upgrading! Will be returning!

Horrible experience. Room was disgustingly dirty. Stained furniture, mildew in the bathroom, looks like pee on the inside of the door. When we walked in the room it smelled like a men’s urinal. Windows were left open by cleaning staff without a latch to lock it from being opened all the way. No screens in the windows either. Flies in the room, including small fruit flies. Noisy with constant traffic. Room was outdated with knobs missing on some of the closet doors and the cabinets looked like they were about to fall apart. Definitely do not recommend this motel.

For what we paid, we weren't expecting much but were pleasantly surprised. We arrived rather late at night after driving down from the Cariboo and were greeted with a smile. It was myself and my hubby, another couple and our small-ish dog. The room we were in was perfect for us, including two rooms and a kitchen. TV/internet was good. Was super quiet, didn't hear any people in the rooms next door. We will absolutely stay again!

The woman was very sweet and apologetic but the maid service was unattentive. There were layers of dust on things. Of which I am allergic to top it all off. And the stove was inoperable.
