I really like this motel it's comfy and very cozy. And very clean

I really liked my night in this motel. Carly and her little doggie do a great job of keeping it clean and comfortable. She provides a little cooking center with pots, pans, dishes , microwave, and toaster. It is in a safe area of town, next to the movie theatre. You can't beat it for the price.

We stayed here on our way back from Alaska, We are from Florida and since we hit the Canada border on our way to Alaska we have stayed @ several Motels and was very disappointed in they're Hotel/Motels.....Beds are so bad that they sink when you sit on them, no heat (they shut them down in May expecting it would be too warm to have them on ) the tubs have rust and lime and the over all look of the rooms are dirty and old (worn out!) I was so tired of paying over $100.00 a night for bad rooms, that we had even got or money back in 1 motel and slept in our car! How ever we started checking the rooms before checking in, and Northwinds Lodge was the cleanest and best we have been in (even though the out side of the Motel looks worn) with the exception of WestMark in Whitehorse. we are leaving this AM, but am very pleased with this establishment, they also except pets ( which is hard to find)....Please note these 2 Motels are the ONLY ones we liked going through Canada and because of that, we had drove 12 hrs. just to get a motel that was in our opinion the best in that area. We also suggest that when you hit a new town, we found that the visitor centers will supply you with a list of hotels, prices and if they except pets, but it is still best to check the rooms out....
