The site is beautiful. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Their suggestions for activities and places to eat were right on target. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed the breakfasts. We appreciated being able to add a day to our stay.

Two Eagles Lodge was the perfect way to cap off an adventurous trip out west. The property is beautiful and spacious and hosts Carolyn and Steve are absolutely charming and wonderful people. They showed me around the island a bit during my brief stay and I got to to experience the majestic scenery by day and friendly confines of the local pubs by night. They seem to know all the locals! The island has so much to offer and Carolyn and Steve were more than happy to help me experience and feel a part of it. A couple of things that stand out--stopping to watch some local kite surfers perform their aerial acrobatics on one of the inlets, and driving up a rugged mountain road to a snowy clearing overlooking a beautiful tree-covered valley and shooting clay pigeons. What a unique experience. I will always look back upon that brief time touring the island very fondly, but it was the retreat back to the lodge for a night cap and some guitar-playing and storytelling that brings the biggest smile to my face. You can really indulge your adventurous side here or just hang out and enjoy the serenity and hospitality offered by the property and proprietors. Be sure to check out Steve's garage while you're here. Lot of cool stuff in there. I will certainly be back. This was truly a candid getaway. One that I will never forget.

Just got back from a four day stay on Vancouver Island. Our Stay at Two Eagles could not have been better. From the views, the breakfast each morning, the two horses (that we swear were smiling) the knowledge of the hosts, Carolyn and Steve Touhey, I can't imagine a better place. We got so many ideas from them as to where to go, eat and have fun. The Lodge is beautiful! We truly enjoyed everyday and can't say enough about it except we'll be back!!

Where to start? We've recently returned from a week-long stay here. An amazing place - comfortable, spacious and welcoming rooms and plentiful, delicious breakfasts, which Carolyn went to the trouble of varying each morning during our stay. Even our "packed breakfasts" which we requested a couple of mornings lasted us most of the day! Location-wise, Two Eagles Lodge really couldn't have been any better and the views are spectacular. We spent every day exploring this beautiful island, which has really captured our hearts. While you can enjoy the tranquillity and beautiful views at and around Two Eagles Lodge if that's your preference, I'd really recommend getting out and about and experiencing all the island has to offer. We'd done (what we thought) extensive research of places to see in the lead up to our holiday, but Carolyn and Steve's love for Vancouver Island and their first hand knowledge of all the hidden gems really enhanced our stay and after a week we really feel like we've only "scratched the surface". However what really "made it" was Carolyn and Steve's wonderful hospitality. They couldn't have made us feel any more welcome in their beautiful home. They love sharing their knowledge of the Island with their guests and have made it their business to visit as many places as possible so they can give great tips and advice which wouldn't be readily available to holidaymakers otherwise. I can wholeheartedly recommend a truly memorable holiday at Two Eagles Lodge.

Great place. Carolyn and Steve are wonderful hosts. Breakfast is a communal affair, and the innkeepers join their guests for the breakfast buffet. Rooms are basic but nice, and there is plenty of comfortable common space, with fireplaces and outside fire pit for those who want to use it. Welcome party includes the family dog Cosmo - a friendly black lab mix rescued from the local SPCA.
