Lovely hotel with very accommodating staff. Even though the check in portion of the building isn't directly wheelchair accessible, the staff member on duty was able to help a fellow guest effectively. My stay was peaceful despite the construction the next morning (was not early and I was warned). The room was clean and tidy. Bathroom is kind of cramped and the hot water wasn't really that hot but that won't discourage me from returning.

Bed was really soft and comfortable. The building is older but nicely renovated. The shower was nice as well. They may have limited parking but the lot behind the building was empty so there ya go.

Gorgeous rooms, completely new decor, clean and amazing pool and deck areas. Helpful staff and alarmingly cheap in the off season. Got the deluxe king suite for less than 130. 100% recommend!

Sandman Inn & Suites in Kamloops just registered another party to the room I am registered in with my 3.5yr old. I was woken from my sleep at 11:30pm!! to strangers trying get in my room, luckily I had the latch on so the door could not open the door fully or they would have been standing at the end of my bed. I am beyond upset. This has made me feel extremely uncomfortable as this error should never have happened. This wasn't the first issue I encountered tonight either .. when I checked it I was told we had a quiet room with 2 queen beds over looking the park. When I got to my room it had 1 king bed and overlooked the back of the building but thought hey its beautiful so who cares. It was once my daughter fell asleep that the train woke her up terrified as the loud noise was insane. At that point I realized why the room had a sound machine - to drown out all the noise from the trains?! I called the front desk and they said the train runs all night. They offered to move us to the quiet room with 2 queen beds so we moved. Now I wish I could just move right out of this hotel. I have never felt so unsafe and uncomfortable. Will NEVER stay here again. If you come be sure to ask for the side that faces the park or you will hear & feel the trains going by. Not to mention make sure you use the latch because you cannot trust they won't give someone else a key to your room.

I would not recommend this accommodation. The "new building" or "annex" is an apartment building where hotel guests and residents of the apartment intermix. Not a dealbreaker certainly, but that is a fact. Cleanliness in general is passable but not good. The key cards always demagnetize, and you have to get them reset.
