The owners were extremely kind and lovely. Offered us breakfast and muffins, fresh coffee in the morning. The room was clean and had air conditioning, along with a nice balcony. We also had our bags that were hard to carry around before our bus arrived, and they allowed us to keep them there while we enjoyed our last day in Kamloops. Thanks for being so kind ❤️

Bare bones motel, literally. Heat isn't that great, WiFi is spotty, ancient TV with almost no programing. There's a stove but they charge extra for the cooking rings. Shady looking people come and go all day. Management speaks sweetly but there is almost no hospitality. Avoid this place if you have a better budget, it's like a trap for the poor & new international students.

I was told I wouldn't have to pay a deposit and he made me pay a $100 Deposit...The place was not cleaned prior to our arrival... Found glass, stains, brown substances on roof and walls, the AC I payed for didn't work... When I tried to check out early he said it was not a refundable room when I only booked the room for the soul fact it WAS refundable and have proof. finally when I wouldn't give up he refunded me but ripped me off $300 when the cancellation fee was only supposed to be $71, I have all my booking info and confirmation info and still wouldn't refund me the proper ammount. Due to this fact I have to take them to small claims court. This place is a descusting trap. Avoid at all cost. Try and look around for hotels with the same rate I found one the moment after I checked out of star lodge and not only was it cleaned and presentable, the staff was amazing and understanding when my card malfunctioned and let me run to bank and check in at a later time then what was expected of me. On top of all of this the new hotel I found was $100 cheaper than star lodge. There is always something better than star lodge.

Horrible place We arrived late, tired and weary. Listed price the Manager said we're gone. Charged $80.00 for a room not worth more than $40! Dirty room, A/C broken, no coffee pot, or even glasses in room Manager said there was breakfast included. No, he didn't follow thru on that either. *Save your money, go elsewhere people

WORST MOTEL EVER! Stay far away from this place. Cops are called there almost daily and the people living there on a monthly are all drug addicts. I'm not even gonna describe what the inside of the rooms look like but it is disgusting so if you don't want bedbugs or lice or worse then stay far away from star lodge
