My family prefers to stay at the smaller, family owned places when they travel so they booked the Recreation Inn Motel quite a few times in the past. Everyone was really surprised (and happy) when we saw that they have completely renovated the rooms since our last visit! We had a really big room this time and it was nice, clean, comfortable. The staff were welcoming. Alan checked us in and helped us make our plans for the day. We also met Mohamed and another girl at the front desk. The pool & picnic areas are are faves - even used the BBQs this time! Basic breakfast incl. Good value - we would definitely stay here again.

It was fine. Get what you pay for with hotels. The outside looks dingy but the inside of our room was quite nice. Really good vibe for a motel with a BBQ area and small pool which was perfect for our big group.

When I had gotten to the Hotel, I was given the wrong room to start off with! The Staff were less then friendly! the room had a god awful smell to it! "Housecleaning" didn't even touch my room ( garbage was left in the bin's! Bed's were unmade! Towels weren't clean! ) The "FREE" breakfast was moulding! I would never recommend staying here! The ONLY good part about this hotel is that you get 20% off at Ihop!

Just awesome. Never judge a book by its cover. Don’t go with the outer beauty, check the rooms and u will get to see something unexpected.

Overly pricing for what it is. Location is great, being right beside the Parkinson re centre was awesome for dog walks. Was offered a room on the second story and when I asked for one on the main floor to accommodate my dog I was declined, yet no option to select this upon inital online booking. Grounds outside are dirty. Was reminded rooms are non smoking yet ours reaked of stale cigarettes. Room was dated and could use renovation. Sheets stained. Housekeeping does the bare minimum. Had to ask after they had already been through for new face cloths and a klennex box, garbages full but not removed. Breakfast is questionable and FYI the 20% at IHOP is dine in only, so unusable for someone like my traveling solo with a dog looking for take out options.
